Fees

  • Executive Certificate - CHF 9'600*
  • Executive Master - CHF 22'000*

(*) Fees include teaching costs, course materials and use of The Graduate Institute's facilities. They don't include travel and accommodation costs in Geneva and Brussels.

 

Financing and payment options
 

Prospective applicants who require financial support are advised to seek funding, first and foremost, from external sources. While we are not in a position to offer scholarships, we support applicants in their funding applications, by providing upon request those admitted in the programme with a support letter to their financing institutions or sponsors.

Fees can be paid in several installments without additional charges.

A discount (CHF 8'900 instead of CHF 9'600 for the Executive Certificate, CHF 20'000 instead of CHF 22'000 for the Executive Master) is offered, in any of the following cases:

  • Early birds (*): for those who apply early, are admitted and pay their first (confirmation) enrolment before 15 November 2018
  • Full payment (*): for those who pay the full tuition fees prior to 21 February 2019
  • Apply with a colleague ! two applicants from the same organisation will receive the discount

(*) offer applicable to self-funding participants.

  • Alumni from the Graduate Institute receive a 10% discount on the programmes' tuition fees.

 

Geneva tax-payers may be eligible to the Chèque Formation, a scholarship of up to CHF 2'250 for continuing education from the Canton of Geneva : learn more

 

Entry Requirements


Selection is primarily based on professional experience, candidate’s motivation, and applicability of the programme for their current work or future career.

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, or a degree/diploma deemed to be equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ full-time work is highly recommended, participants typically range between 30 and 50 years of age.
  • Proficiency in English (no certificate is required, although interviews can be requested to validate capacity).


Additional requirements for the Master

  • Several years of full-time, post-bachelor professional work experience in a relevant field (negotiations, public policy, strategic planning, governance, communications & advocacy, or general management) is required. Generally those offered admission have demonstrated progressive growth in responsibility in their career and most who join the cohort bringing 8 or more years of experience. Open to those from across public, private or non-profit sectors.  

 

Degrees Awarded

  • Executive Certificate in Advocacy in International Affairs - Requires successful completion of Modules 1 & 2. The Executive Certificate (Certificate of Advanced Studies or CAS) = 15 ECTS. Option to upgrade to an Executive Master requires completion within three years from the start date of the Executive Certificate.

  • Executive Master in Advocacy in International Affairs & Policy Making - Requires successful completion of Modules 1,2,3 & 4. The Executive Masters (Diploma of Advanced Studies or DAS) = 30 ECTS.

 

Class Experience
 

Designed as a multi-stakeholder, peer-to-peer learning experience with participants from diverse non-governmental and international organisations, multinational companies, unions and associations, national government agencies and diplomatic missions. As a member of a small class (typically 15-25 people), engage and interact with influential thinkers and practitioners from policy, science and industry.
