Application for Accommodation
In Geneva, as in most large European cities, it is not always easy to find accommodation in Geneva. This is why we advise you to start searching as soon as you receive the letter offering you a place to study at the Institute.
The Edgar et Daniele de Picciotto Student House accommodates 255 people in 135 living spaces. However, it cannot meet all the demands for accommodation. We recommend that you begin your search as early as possible and make use of many different sources of information to apply to for accommodation. For more information on looking for accommodation, please visit the Student Portal.
How to Apply for a Place at the Student House
The procedure is simple: students will receive by email the link to the application form for the Edgar and Danièle de Picciotto Student House. The Housing Committee will then consider each application, using the documents submitted to the Admission Office. They will start sending offers once the admission decisions have been communicated.
How are Residents Selected?
Rooms and studios in the Student House are allocated by a Committee. The main criteria used to decide who will obtain a place are:
- Geographical distance of the student’s residence at the time of admission
- Academic results
- Scholarship application
The allocation of places at the Student House is only valid for one year and residents must re-apply each year.
