Location & Directions


The Graduate Institute's Villa Barton, a historic landmark, is now exclusively dedicated for Executive Education.  Facilities include:

  • the Villa Barton,
  • Auditorium Jacques Freymond
  • and Pavillions housing. 


We are located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Parc Barton. Our driveway is a gated entrance between the Perle du Lac restaurant parking entrance and the World Trade Organisation.

By Car

Villa Barton driveway at 132 rue de Lausanne is immediately adjacent to the Perle du Lac parking lot entrance off of rue de Lausanne (outbound direction).  The entrance is a gated driveway, accessible only from the northbound direction (heading out of town) on rue de Lausanne.  Those arriving from the north will need to make a quick U-turn nearby.

Parking is free for visitors and participants of Executive Education programmes.  Daytime visitors should request a pass at the reception desk.  Parking is available in Parc Barton (no permit needed for evening events).
     
 

By Bus

From Geneva central train station, both Bus n°1 and n°25 (direction: "Jardin Botanique") will take you from Cornavin train station to the Graduate Institute's Villa Barton location.

We are located at the bus stop called "Secheron".

By Train

All trains arriving to Geneva (from the airport or from within Switzerland) will stop at the city's main station, "Cornavin", which is about a 15-minute walk from the Graduate Institute along rue de Lausanne, or a short bus ride from the station (see above).

From the Airport

Geneva Airport, or "Cointrin", is conveniently located 20 minutes away from the Graduate Institute.  Take bus 28, direction:  Jardin Botanique, and get off at the last stop.  We are 5 minutes walk from the Jardin Botanique (direction towards the city) along rue de Lausanne.

OR, you can take any train departing from the airport's train station--ALL trains leaving the airport have their first stop at the city's main train station, called "Gare Cornavin", just 6 minutes from the airport. 

Then from the central Geneva train station (Gare Cornavin), take either bus n°1 or n°25 in the direction "Jardin Botanique", per above).
